Mel and Jack: Brisbane Portrait Photography

It’s been a few weeks since my last blog post, so I thought I’d leave you with a portrait session of  my friend Mel and her son Jack.  Isn’t he adorable? Mel is also pregnant with her second child and will be due very soon!  Can’t wait to see the latest addition to your family, Mel : )

Claire and Josh: Toowoomba wedding

Claire and Josh: Toowoomba wedding

After some huge thunderstorms this week, the weather forecast for Claire and Josh’s wedding over the weekend had been looking dire. Frequent showers and thunderstorms were predicted and I had packed several umbrellas in my car! However, their wedding day ended up being nothing less than perfect. Gorgeous weather, a gorgeous couple and a beautiful setting. What more could you ask for?  Claire and Josh, I wish you all the best in your future life together and I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Thailand!

Wedding details:
Officiant: Ross Savill of HumeRidge Church of Christ
Florist: Premier Cane and Flowers, Toowoomba
Hair: Justine’s Hair Studio
Ceremony: Brindabella Gardens, Highfields
Reception: Toowoomba Golf Club, Middle Ridge
Cake: Hannah Richards from Can Bake Cakes (also one of the bridesmaids!)

The day started off at Claire’s parents beautiful house in North Toowoomba. I adored her beautiful Grecian-inspired wedding gown.

I think Claire made a beautiful bride. She was lucky enough to have her sister and three best buddies as bridesmaids.

I did mention Claire looked fab, didn’t I?

Claire and Josh’s outdoor ceremony was held at the charming Brindabella Gardens in Toowoomba, which was A-MA-ZING for wedding photography! I had never shot there before and can’t wait to go back.

Some brightly coloured parasols were the perfect way for guests to keep cool.

All eyes were on Claire as she made her entrance.

Especially Josh…

I thought this was a lovely touch – Claire incorporated her great-grandparents’ brooch in her bouquet.

The gardens were just beautiful. I’m not a green thumb (in fact I kind of kill plants) but I felt like taking up gardening after shooting here. I could have photographed for hours.

Lacey and Chas: Bunya Mountains engagement

The beautiful Bunya Mountains were the amazing setting for a recent engagement session I shot with lovebirds Lacey and Chas.  Gorgeous, rolling green hills; a forest and a cattleyard were some of the fantastic places I was able to shoot. Lacey and Chas also brought along some cute red balloons for the shoot. Not only were they great props, but they also held special meaning – Chas proposed to Lacey on a hot air balloon. Sooo romantic!
