Classic, glamorous, elegant…Zoe and Michael’s wedding was a beautiful, intimate and classy event at gorgeous St Stephen’s Chapel and I was honoured to capture their day. Such a lovely couple!

For the bridal party portraits, we headed over to Roma Street Gardens. I couldn’t resist getting an image of the girls in front of these gorgeous red flowers.

Cindy and Chris: Toowoomba Wedding Photography

I’d never had the privilege of photographing a wedding with a Scottish and Indonesian theme before I met Cindy and Chris, but there’s always a first for everything!

Cindy and Chris met each other five years ago while they were both living abroad in Indonesia.  Chris, who is Scottish, said he knew Cindy, an Aussie, was the one for him straight away. “That was it for me,” Chris says.

This month they celebrated their wedding day in the Toowoomba countryside with friends and family from all over the globe and their adorable, two-year-old son, Tom.  With an exciting move from Indonesia to Nigeria ahead of them, life is looking pretty good!  It was such an honour photographing your special day and I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Scotland!

Details:

Ceremony and reception: Preston Village Chapel and Manor, Toowoomba
Officiant: Father Richard Harris
Flowers: Colleen Bradbury
Makeup: Tina Payne
Hair: Hair We R
Bagpipes and Scottish dancing: Lachlan and Rebekah Goudie

The bridal preparation got underway at Cindy’s parents property. I think this hat stand definitely  gives the wedding a bit of an Aussie flavour!

Cindy looked stunning on her wedding day. Her beautiful wedding dress was made in Indonesia and had the most amazing lace detail.

She and Chris both love horses, so we decided to take some pictures with her dad’s horse, Jack.

Zoe and Michael: Brisbane Engagement Photography

I’d love to share some images today from Zoe and Michael’s engagement session at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus. Zoe and Michael met and fell in love while they were studying at UQ and they wanted to have their engagement session somewhere that held special significance for them. I had a great time photographing them and it  was wonderful to see their love story come full circle!  Can’t wait for your wedding next week, guys : )
