Lacey and Chas: Wedding

If you want to know a great way to celebrate New Year’s Eve, take a leaf out of Lacey and Chas’ book! This amazing couple decided to end 2011 with a bang by getting married! Surrounded by their friends and family, Lacey and Chas capped off the year with a beautiful, warm and fun country wedding in Dalby. It was a really special day and I was so happy to capture it for them. Congratulations Lacey and Chas.

Diamonds are definitely a girl’s best friend on her wedding day!

I was just a little bit in love with Lacey’s wedding dress with its blingy belt.

Lacey was lucky to have her four sisters and two friends as her bridesmaids.

Perfect..

Anybody who follows this blog knows I love taking photos of shoes…And I think Lacey’s are particularly adorable – and practical!

The ceremony was held at an amazing venue called Jimbour House, just outside of Dalby. I can’t believe I’d never heard of it before. It’s gorgeous, elegant and has beautiful gardens. There were so many places to photograph – including an airstrip. Brides - if you want a country wedding with class – this is the place to go!

I couldn’t resist getting a photo of Chas and his groomsmen in front of Jimbour House. They look like they mean business!

Chas was cool, calm and collected.

Chas’ mum was just gorgeous – love this photo.

OK, get ready to saw awwww! Aren’t the pageboy and flowergirl sooo cute?

Lacey’s father was so incredibly proud of her and I just love this photo. One of my favourites from the day.

This photo make me feel a little warm and mushy on the inside.

It’s moments like these that make me love being a wedding photographer.

Time to celebrate!

Lacey, you look absolutely stunning.

On the way to the reception, we stopped in this fantastic sorghum field for a few photos before the light faded. So glad we stopped.

The reception was held in Lacey’s parents’ backyard in a giant marquee.

The centrepiece of the children’s table featured a vase full of lollipops and jellybeans. Awesome idea.

There were sweets for the adults too..

Nicky and Simon: Toowoomba wedding photography

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Simon and Nicky for the first time at their engagement session. Simon – in an incredibly romantic gesture – pulled out his guitar and started serenading his gorgeous fiance in a park. I didn’t think he could impress me any further…but I was wrong. For the ultimate Christmas gift, Simon made Nicky his wife last weekend. Theirs was a sweet, charming wedding full of colour and personality and it was wonderful to see two people so in love make a lifetime commitment to one another. Congratulations Nicky and Simon – I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in New Zealand.

Ceremony: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Toowoomba
Reception: Groom Park Hall, Toowoomba
Bridal bouquets and button holes: Handmade by the bride
Hair: Lauren Hood
Makeup: Danielle Schroeders
Cake:Melissa Smith

I loved all of the colour in this wedding. So bright and cheerful.

Nicky made the bouquets and buttonholes herself..so creative!

The bridesmaids had their own individual flair – they each wore different dresses in shades of peacock blue and green.

Is this not a smile that could light up a room?

It was soon time to catch up with Simon and the groomsmen at the church.

And finally husband and wife.

For the portraits we headed over to the ever beautiful Japanese Gardens.

Some afternoon light was very much welcome!

The reception was held at Groom Park Hall in Toowoomba. Nicky sourced the teapots for the table settings in antique stores.

Time to celebrate!

Classic, glamorous, elegant…Zoe and Michael’s wedding was a beautiful, intimate and classy event at gorgeous St Stephen’s Chapel and I was honoured to capture their day. Such a lovely couple!
