Farewell Shuttersnap, hello..

Good morning everyone!  I’m super excited today to announce the rebranding of my wedding and portrait photography business. After six years of trading as Shuttersnap, I’ve decided it’s time for a change!

So, without further ado, I’m proud to announce that my new business name will be (drumroll please)…

Samantha Shannon Photography!

Why the change?

One of the biggest misconceptions about my business is that Shuttersnap is a studio that employs multiple photographers. As one of my main goals is to provide my clients with a personalised, friendly service, I wanted a new name that better reflected my own personal identity and my business goals.

So what’s with the new name? My middle name is Shannon. And I thought Samantha Shannon Photography had a nice flow to it. Simple!

A few last words and how to find me!

Finally,  thank you to everyone for your continuing support. Your kind and encouraging words have been greatly appreciated and it’s been awesome to meet so many fantastic people over the years – online and offline. A big, big thank you to my brides and grooms for entrusting me with one of the most important days of your lives – it’s an honour I take very seriously. And thank you for being such cool people – I have a pretty awesome job!

I’m really excited about embarking on this new chapter of my business and would love to share the rest of my photographic adventures with you.  Please join me on my website, blog, or twitter feed (My Facebook page is yet to come, stay tuned).

My new website address is http://samanthashannon.com.au

My new blog address is http://samanthashannon.com.au/blog

I can’t wait to see you there!

Sam xx

P.S.  The Shuttersnap blog will remain online at http://www.shuttersnap.com.au for anyone who wants to take a trip down memory laneFarewell Shuttersnap, hello..

Surrounded by their friends and family, Lacey and Chas capped off the year with a beautiful, warm and fun country wedding in Dalby. It was a really special day and I was so happy to capture it for them. Congratulations Lacey and Chas.

The ceremony was held at an amazing venue called Jimbour House, just outside of Dalby.  I can’t believe I’d never heard of it before. It’s gorgeous, elegant and has beautiful gardens. There were so many places to photograph – including an airstrip. Brides -  if you want a country wedding with class – this is the place to go!

I couldn’t resist getting a photo of Chas and his groomsmen in front of Jimbour House. They look like they mean business!

Chas was cool, calm and collected.

On the way to the reception, we stopped in this fantastic sorghum field for a few photos before the light faded. So glad we stopped.

The reception was held in Lacey’s parents’ backyard in a giant marquee.

Nicky and Simon: Toowoomba wedding photography

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Simon and Nicky for the first time at their engagement session. Simon – in an incredibly romantic gesture – pulled out his guitar and started serenading his gorgeous fiance in a park. I didn’t think he could impress me any further…but I was wrong.  For the ultimate Christmas gift, Simon made Nicky his wife last weekend. Theirs was a sweet, charming wedding full of colour and personality and it was wonderful to see two people so in love make a lifetime commitment to one another. Congratulations Nicky and Simon – I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in New Zealand.

Wedding details:

Ceremony: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Toowoomba
Reception: Groom Park Hall, Toowoomba
Bridal bouquets and button holes: Handmade by the bride
